golf gda95903ce_640Golf isn't like the other ball sports. It is not a game with the same playing surface. This makes it difficult for players to adjust to the varied types of terrains that are found on each course. Courses usually have 18 or 9 holes, zones of terrain that contain a cup. It is the hole that receives the ball. A teeing area is used to mark the beginning of a hole while a cup holds the cup. There are various types of terrains between the green and the tee. This includes the fairway rough (high grass) and various other hazards, such as rocks, water or bunters that are sand-filled. Each hole on the course of golf is unique. It's either match play or stroke play. Stroke play, especially preferred by the elite is the most well-known game format.
